The Surf Mom Mobile

The more sand, the better–for a surf mom mobile packed with boards and beach things. It means this family's been living a very busy ocean lifestyle, putting a cool spin on the often unflattering label, "mom mobile."
Instead of shuffling the kids to and from soccer practice, this type of hauler's full of sun-kissed groms searching for waves. They might not be road tripping long distances, like life in a classic surf van, but rather, pulling up to the beach before and after school. It's racked up some serious mileage over the years, too, and has become familiar territory for those who grew up riding it.
What's it look like? It's headed beach-bound, but the stack of tiny surfboards on top gives it away. Wide-eyes peek over the half-opened car windows for a better view of the waves. Their ride rolls slowly through the beach parking lot until coming to a gentle stop. It doesn't matter how big the surf is; they're frothing over the sight of the ocean. One by one, the tow-headed passengers hop out–an air of stoke trails closely behind and follows them into the line-up.
It also doesn't matter what kind of vehicle gets SURF MOM MOBILE slapped onto its salty exterior. As long as it can hold a solid set of boards and eager group of groms, it's good to go. The crusty layer of dirt and salt that dulls the outside shine is an added bonus. Besides, there's no time to wash it when the surf's up. But it still gets lots of love.
Just like the outside, the inside is most likely covered in a loving layer of ocean and beach. The sand piles on the floor remind them of how they can bring the beach everywhere. It's also filled with memories of fun sessions over the years, from toddler tandeming to countless sunset sessions. They can always count on their trusty ride to get them to and from the vast ocean playground.
Somehow there's order to the sand-covered chaos inside. From sheltering bars of wax to stashing soggy wetsuits, every nook has a surf-friendly function. Beach towels drape strategically over the backseat and make a home for the sand toys that hide underneath. There's not much room for anything else, but somehow everything (and everyone) fits.
This ride also looks good with dad behind the wheel. They may or may not surf; however, they have an appreciation for the ocean, just as much as the soccer mom has an appreciation for soccer. It's about seeing their kids enjoy active lifestyles, which for them, is enough stoke to fuel every commute.
